Page Template

This is the new page template. In Folder View, make a copy of the newpage.htm.  While still in Folder View, rename the page.  You will then want to drag your new page into Navigation View and again rename it (which changes the page title).  Replace this content with your own and save it into your web. (Remember to drag the page into navigation view so the correct names will appear in the navigation bars.)

Changing Layout

We have formatted the tables so that this page will look good and resize in Netscape and Internet Explorer. If you wish to change the layout, please follow these suggestions.

Delete right column (if applicable)
You may delete the right column to get rid of the info boxes and have more middle content area. Click in the right column area (not in an info box) and go to Table/Select /Cell, then right-click and select Delete Cells.

Adding your own columns
We suggest that you do not directly add columns to this layout, as you may accidentally "freeze" the page so that it no longer resizes. Instead, delete the page template content, then go to Table/Insert/Table to add your own table in the center area. You may reformat this table by adding columns and rows as much as you like.

Horizontal Bar
You may use your horizontal bar for your top-level buttons (in 2002, you may create a custom link bar), or you may create a navigation "drill-down" path (also known as "breadcrumb trail").

Dynamic Home/Email/Map buttons (if applicable)
These buttons may remain in the top right, but you may move them anywhere else you wish. The graphics are "transparent" so that you may move it to another area, for example, in the upper left, or at the bottom of the page. (not available on all templates)

Changing the "Your Name Here" Graphic

Many of our templates have a graphic "Your Name Here" in each template. Unless your Name is "Your Name Here" you will want to change it. Inside your extra images folder is a blank logo image.  Open it with your favorite graphics program and add your name. Then save it as a jpg or gif (however the original was named) and drop it into your images folder. It will overwrite the current "Your Name Here" graphic throughout your web.

Info Boxes:  Info boxes may be duplicated.  Go to Table / Select / Table, then Edit / Copy.  Place your cursor where you want to put the new box and Edit/Paste.  You should insert a line break between each new info box.

Expanded Text:  Some text shown in this template sample below was done with expanded text.  Right-click and select "Font".  In the dialog box that appears, click on the "Character Spacing" tab.  You can then select your spacing.  In the global text, I have selected a spacing of 2.
